Our latest foray into the community sees us team up with the Farnham Sixth Form College.
We have commissioned a group of their media students to make a promotional video for our Membership page which they will be able to use as part of their course work grading while we will benefit from having a great production!
We're pleased to announce that we've approached Radio Frimley Park Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital's, Radio Lion with a view to forming further partnerships as we continue in our efforts to promote the Trust and Aldershot Town Football Club within the local community.
With former club captain Anthony Charles sidelined through injury and without a club, the Shots Trust stepped in and carried out a bucket collection on13th August 2011 to give Shots fans the opportunity to show their appreciation to a player who gave so much service to the club.
We would like to place on record our appriciation to the Football Club for allowing us to carry out our collection within the stadium and speaking to the Shots Trust following the donation Anthony said: "No amount of words can express how grateful I am. It was a gesture that shows how wonderful some people can be.
"Thank you all so much for the donation that was made and I hope my thanks reach all those who contributed. It was a touching and lovely gesture that will never be forgotten. I enjoyed my time at Aldershot and a part of my life I will always remember fondly. I hope to one day return so I can again say thank you to you all again."
Following on from a suggestion whereby we collected unwanted tickets for the Burton Albion match, we were able to donate eleven tickets to two local charities.
